Time To Replace Your Electric Toothbrush Brush Head
You've used your electric toothbrush for a while now and noticed that it's not working as well as it used to. In order to keep your electric toothbrush working like it should and cleaning your teeth almost like a dentist would, you should make sure you replace your brush head every 1-2 months at the minimum.
In addition to replacing the brush head, be sure you remove the brush head daily so that the inside of the unit can dry out and not get dirty or moldy.
Best Price on Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads
When getting a replacement toothbrush head for your electric toothbrush, you want to make sure you get the right one along with the best price.
First, know which brand and model you have. You should either be able to find this on the unit itself, on the charging base or you can go to the website of the manufacturer and search for it there. Make sure it matches up with the models pictured there.
You may be able to find replacement heads locally at stores like Wal-Mart or Walgreen's. Sometimes, at the store, they will be locked up and you will need to find someone to unlock the case that the are kept in. Evidently there is a problem with people shoplifting them, so you might encounter needing assistance in order to purchase one at a local store. They might also have a limited supply there and have to go to several stores or locations to find the one that fits your electric toothbrush.
This is probably why searching online for electric toothbrush replacement heads is so popular. It saves both time and money. If you know which brand and model you need, then you can easily just shop based on price.
Buy Electric Toothbrush Heads
When shopping online for an electric toothbrush or replacement heads, check a number of things:
- See if there are reviews about the retailer. What experiences have others had ordering from them?
- Check out the retailer's return policy. Do they accept returns? Do you have to ship it back to them? Is there a restocking fee?
- Are there coupon codes or discounts for that retailer? A simple search of the website's name + "coupon codes" will give you some results if any online coupon codes or promo codes exist.
- Check if there are any other things that you might need while you are shopping there. Maybe you need toothpaste or floss. Getting them online in the same package should also save you some time and money.
If you want to save money, then sign up for the e-newsletter list of the various retailers out there. They might run specials and sales or have clearance offers and they often notify their customers of these sales by email.
Remember to Change Your Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads
Good dental hygiene is imperative for your overall health. A number of different complications and diseases in your dental hygiene can greatly affect the rest of your health. Gum disease untreated can lead to periodontists which includes infected gums that pull away from your teeth leaving gaps between them. This can easily and quickly affect your over all health.
One of the best ways to prevent or even reverse the affects of gum disease is daily brushing with a good toothbrush. Most dentists will tell you that you need a good electric toothbrush. There are a number of electric toothbrushes on the market right now, but the two I find to be the best are Oral B and Sonicare. They are usually the two recommended by most dentists as well. There is a reason for this.
Both of these brands require you to buy replacement heads periodically. These replacement heads are necessary to keep up with your dental hygiene. Just as you would replace a tooth bush after it's worn down, you must replace these when needed. For the most part, replacement heads for Oral B and Sonicare electric toothbrushes can be found at any of your major retailers. They are usually sold in packages containing more than one and can be found with the rest of the dental care items.
Another great thing is they usually aren't very expensive. It can be a bit expensive to purchase your electric toothbrush for the first time, but it can last for several years and most times, the brush replacement heads are cheaper than purchasing your ordinary tooth brushes. They are also very easy to change out. Most times you just pull the old head off and slide the replacement one on with no problem. But if for some reason you should encounter a problem, there are always instructions and sometimes a number or website that can offer some assistance. I encourage everyone to purchase an electric toothbrush, preferably Oral B or Sonicare. And I also encourage everyone to keep up the maintenance by replacing the heads on a regular basis.

What Do You Think About Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads?
Agreed - I didn't realize there were generic heads available either. Great information, and I'll definitely have to look for them.
In my experience generic heads are awful. Just my opinion!

I think the brand name brush heads are way overpriced. I did not know there were Oral B generic brush heads available. Thanks for the hub!
