Change Your Eye Color

If you've ever wanted to change your eye color, it is now possible thanks to colored contact lenses. Whether you want to change your eye color completely or just enhance your natural eye color, anything is possible with today's technological advances. There are a few different types of colored contact lenses, and finding the ones that work for you are important.

Be aware that you can't acquire colored contacts without prescription. However, if you have perfect vision and want a different eye color, tinted contacts are still available to you, so don't fret! If you don't need a prescription, you can still visit an eye doctor to acquire safe colored contacts. Colored contacts that don't come from a doctor are usually unsafe and uncomfortable, so make that appointment! If you do have a prescription, talk to your doctor about getting a pair of colored contacts that will work with you.

Types of Colored Contact Lenses

There are two different kinds of tinted contacts: enhancement tints and color tints.

Enhancement tints are tints that enhance your natural eye color, but they don't change your eye color completely. These kinds of colored contacts work well for people with lighter eyes (green or blue) that want to make their eyes pop a little bit more.

Color tints are more heavily tinted contacts that can change your eye color completely, even if you have dark eyes. Color tints are also commonly used for costumes to give the appearance of red, yellow, or completely white eyes!

Colored contacts usually have a clear center where the pupil is located for easier sight and a colored area to place over your iris. The colored area is constructed with dots and lines to look as much like a real eye as possible, so no one has to know that your eye color is not completely your own!

Acquiring colored contacts is rather easy. Remember that if you want to transform your eye color with non prescription colored contacts, you will actually need to call up your local eye doctor today and begin the process of ordering tinted contacts, with or without a medical prescription. It is now easier than ever to have the eye color you've always dreamed of!

I really liked the youtube video showing the difference between enhancement tints and opaque or color change tints. I hadn't thought about these lenses being easier to see in the case/lens solution! That's a great point and another good reason to try colors if you wear contact lenses. Many people don't realize that even if you have perfect vision, you still need a doctor's prescription to order lenses in the U.S. It's the law!
